History of the tournament

The tournament has a long tradition. For the first time it was conducted in 1955 in the city of Bonn. 2020 will be the 63rd edition of the prestigous event.  

The city of Mülheim an der Ruhr holds the record: In 2020 the town in North Rhine-Westphalia will carry out the event for the 22nd time.
