RWE-Sporthalle

The YONEX German Open Badminton Championships 2005 were the first big event in the RWE-Sporthalle in Mülheim, established in February 2005. The modern multifunction arena with space for up to 4000 people not only offers possibilities to perform sporting events but can also be used for companies` presentations, shows, concerts or other indoor events. The RWE-Sporthalle was completed at the beginning of February.

Until August 2009, the sports venue was called "RWE Rhein-Ruhr Sporthalle". Since then it has the name "RWE-Sporthalle".
